What did you do to your 18+ softail today?

^^^ You sir, are correct
I just spoke with they guys at Fuel Moto when I dropped of the bike today, sounds like my setup (Wood 22XD, Sawicki exhaust, OEM ventilator, PV3) will almost assuredly NOT need the bigger injectors to reach its potential.
If for some reason my bike is super duper special and can make more power than the OEM injectors can handle, they'll know on the dyno and I'll make the switch then

It looks like I'll save the 160$ then.
I was wondering, why 22XD over 22XE?
I've been deciding between cams and I think the 22XE would be best for how aggressive I ride and how I'll very often use both roll on, and drop a gear and disappear acceleration.
Can I pick your thoughts about the 22XD?

It sounded like the Wood 777 cam was the one that likely needed the bigger injectors from their M8 test
I started researching/watching videos about cams about 2 years ago when I had my RGS. I was always happy with the low end power and wanted some more top end punch. I basically narrowed my cam choices down to the 22XD, 22XE based on what I read, the videos I watched, and my discussions with the guys at FM. I know I would be happy with either. I don't drag race, I really just rip around by myself.
The deciding factor came down to the fact that I love the aggressive idle of the XD over the XE. IMO, the XD makes it sound my more like my '79 Low Rider, so that gave it the slightest edge over the XE.
Thanks for the update.

I'm not interested in running much farther out past 5500 because it accelerates engine wear. And the 22XE gives all it's got without making me rev out to 6000+.
So it's ideal for that longer lifespan I'm looking to get out of the engine.
It seems like the best cam for an aggressive rider.

Well hey there old friend, long time no see.
For me I'm leaning towards the 22XE cam because it hits that 100+Torque before all the other cams and peaks early fast, and holds that torque STRONG the entire way and then it also peaks 120hp before all the other cams in their test. 120hp at 5660RPM. Which is right before that 5700RPM that I've set my bike to limit too.
