What did you do to your 18+ softail today?

thank's again...
I will purchase the Thundertorque inserts and buy some ceramic fiber sheet, it is a low cost investment before trying an other solution with new slips on...
just wonder if I need to retune with my FP3 ?
what time is it in Seattle, here in France is nearly 10 in the morning, nice weather, I will certainly have a ride today
good night...

The slip ons you have are already creating a tuning issue with their lack of anti reversion properties.
the TTIs introduce better anti-reversion, and wrapping the baffles will restrict the space at which exhaust gasses can effectively expand into, which will in turn create higher exhaust velocity.
The TTIs also increase end system exhaust gas velocity.
At low end RPM which most HD bikes run at typically, this will be beneficial.
It's not until high lift high RPM operation that exhaust gas velocities become impleaded by things like TTIs.
The ECM will adapt on its own, and if you're really concerned you could just run autotuning 2 or 3 tanks of gas and let the system adjust more directly.
Infact, many of these tunes are slightly over rich, and if you have access to a Stock Improved tune, and you dont have a stage 2 cam or anything beyond Stage 1. You could reflash back to stock, and the ECM will handle the TTI modded mufflers quite well.
My PowerVision stock improved tune stage 1 fat boy with TTIs in it accelerated from 75 to 120mph faster than my stage 2.

A buddy of mine had them on his Big Dog. They were ear splitting loud. Almost to the point of painful if he grabbed a fist full of throttle and I was riding behind him.

I didn't answer before because this goes a *long* way back, around 2000-2001 and may not apply to the Thunderheader slip-ons you get today. Based on your earlier posts I assume you're referring to Thunderheaders when you say "Thundercone".

Good eye. She was a salvage bike, so I did repaint the tank. I have a very good GG paint code match (2010 Volkswagen Gray lol) if you need it.

Going to be busy in the Spring modding the bike
Still looking for a Sissy bar

Will be adding Custom Dynamics black Fog Lights, not sure about Highway pegs
