Installed some new plugs in my 2020 FXLR, without removing the tank.

better question is why ,it takes about 15 min to take the tank off. Tip the tank up and struggle, again why?

Remove rear tank bolt, loosen front tank bolt. While lifting up on rear of tank slide an empty quart of oil under it, a piece of 2x4 or whatever would also work under the tank. This will give you access to rear plug.

After rear plug is replaced reinstall rear tank bolt but don't tighten it. Now remove front tank bolt, lift tank enough (again slide oil bottle under tank ) to gain access to front plug.

Easy as can be, can't take credit for idea, saw a video.

I'm sorry, who was struggling? You want to take your tank off go right ahead. Hell, I was done in 15 minutes

Thanks for posting. I hate dealing with that fuel line quick disconnect.

SE- plugs and PHAtS. Unfortunately I lost 15 min of my life taking my tank -0ff!

Excuse me, hard way? I would think rapping the ratchet against the bottom of the tank would be the hard way. No? Two masons disagreeing, it’s usually a carpenter and mason that disagrees. Lol. I believe we both ended up with the same outcome.
