On holiday traveling in Europe, left the softail at home but caught this picture in Brugge, Belgium. It made me miss riding. Although, me and the lady are enjoying our time in this beautiful country. And rest assured ordered parts are sitting in my mailbox back home in NY.

Took the Fat Boy out for a run to the local Hot Dog stand as it was official season opening day and a rite of summer around these parts even though summer doesn't officially start till June 21. Man this thing is all day comfy

Smile Flag Dressed for Memorial Day Events & Rides

Time to remember the reason for Memorial Day. God bless those who served and are no longer with us.

So ever since I swapped from the S&S475 to 540 cam, I have been chasing a few issues - mainly some small oil leaks. The first two were cut PR O-rings.last weekend I thought I had it all fixed and went in a ride - oil all over bike by time I got home - tappet cover gasket leaking. Today I planned to pull PR’s and replace gaskets and figured I’d be done in a couple hours. Got the front done - everything went smooth and quick. Started back cylinder and was compressing PR, when the locking nut fell off the bottom of the PR. No big deal - it’s happened before and usually is sitting right on top off the lifters. I went ahead and pulled lifter cover and no nut to be found. It fell into cam chest. Tried fishing it out with magnets, but no luck - had to pull exhaust, open cam chest, pull cam plate, readjust all PR’s, etc. Got it all done and put back together and washed all the oil off, but it took a lot longer than two hours.

Hoping this fixes the leaks - I have been into this motor way too many times that past 2 months, and would be happy to do nothing other than ride and change oil the rest of this year!

Had a new Speedometer installed under warranty on my 2020 FXLR, hopefully the new one won't fog up, but I'm not too optimistic.

Another set of new grips for the wife, the HD Edge grips didn't even get a single ride. Turns out those grips are one of the fattest ones they sell. Never crossed my mind to look that up before buying. Stock grips are 1.4", Edge grips are 1.6" and these new Rizoma X HD grips are 1.44". It's crazy but that tiny bit makes a huge difference. It's also crazy how much these particular grips cost.

Default Couple mods

Just a few things I upgraded over the last 2 days. Experimented with soldering and heat shrink tubing as well. Turned out great. The Kodlins were a pain in the *** to install but overall look great
DK Customs tag relocation bracket
Kodlin 3-1 rear signals
Custom Dynamics led rear brake light

Did you run the wires for the brake light bar through the fender strut or did you attach it to the underside of the fender? I'm about to install the Fat Boy FLFBS brakelight bar onto my bike.

I ran them through the underside of the fender. The kit came with sticky things that have slots for zip ties. I also had black duct tape as well to cover most of the wire. I'll snap a pic tomorrow of what it looks like

That's pretty much what I was planning to do, duct tape include. I would love a picture, and glad to know it worked out for you.
I've been putting off installing the lighting update for my bike because I wasn't sure how I wanted to run everything for the lightbar.
