Glad you commented BareKnuckle! Been meaning to message you and say nice looking bike! Love seeing that pic when I'm scrolling through the forums. I don't see a whole lot of them in our color scheme. Anyway, I agree with your assessment of the looks of it. IMO it definitely fits the Heritage better than the other style. Probably the easiest thing I'll install on the bike too!

Default CR512 Cam Installed

I put in a CycleRama 512 cam and then listened to a nice lumpy idle. I can't go anywhere because it's -30 degrees here :-(

That sounds great! And that's torture having to listen to it only in your garage...

Because it's hidden by a sissybar right now I'm just concerned about having the damage repaired up in a relatively hard to notice way.
I'll give it a look later.
Not to but it just dawned on me that I had an HD Custom paint set (91 of 200) on my 02 Road King. The paint set came with matching touch up paint. Perhaps your dealer could check into the availability of that. This was her, I miss that ole girl.

Not beating a dead horse with that, I didnt think about asking a dealer to see if they had a paint set specific touch up kit.
Ill give my local dealer a visit.
I have to pick up a chrome ignition switch cap anyways, since the one I tried installing today broke while installing.

My fat fingers had a heck of a time getting the engine guard center bolt in with the tight space, other than that it was a piece of cake!
When I saw the online dealer ad for it, I wasn't sure about the color. However when I went to look at it and saw it in the sunshine I was amazed how good it looked. After taking it for a ride, I came back with my wallet out.
I get allot of good comments on it while roaming around on it too.

Curious why you swapped from the Woods cam? Did you ever Dyno bike with old cam? Real interested on your thoughts on the CR512 cam, as I have been thinking about changing current SS475 on my 128”.

Bike runs nice, but I think it could run a little better on upper end. Not sure if a cam is going to make that much difference or maybe just get it retuned by shop that I know will get it dialed in right. I get some occasional popping when really getting on throttle, but cannot get any charts or Dyno information from previous owner who did the big bore kit. When big bore kit was originally done, the 475 cam, 64mm TB and manifold, and big injectors were installed. It Dyno’d at 138hp/142tq. Bike was sold and 2nd owner put on ventilator extreme air filter and SE CNC (not Extreme)heads. I don’t even know if it was dyno’d again after the heads and bigger air filter. The low end torque and power around town is instant and really strong. Power at higher speeds on highway is strong, but throttle response is not as instant as I would like. This could just be the tune, but seeing other 128/131 builds and Dyno’s make me wonder what a little bigger cam would do.

I know first hand from my old TC what difference a good tune can make. Overall, the current tune is pretty good, but think it could run crisper at certain throttle positions. As strong as these m8 big bores run, if I could just get a little quicker throttle response at higher speeds, I don’t think I would change cam. I was thinking about Ward’s ported manifold and retuning. If I could just get the rest of you all to stop the performance upgrades, I could stop thinking about all this!

If you are debating cams, please look at the Star Racing 30/30. We just ran my 2021 114 on the dyno and got 113HP and 124TQ. That’s Bassani RR3 pipe, Fuel Moto intake, PV3 tuner with a canned map (that will change), and the 30/30 cam. Big gains for modest upgrades.

Installed HD's new Flat-Out crash bar on my Sport Glide ... I like it. Sorry for the crappy garage pics.:/
