What did you do to your 18+ softail today?

Glad you commented BareKnuckle! Been meaning to message you and say nice looking bike! Love seeing that pic when I'm scrolling through the forums. I don't see a whole lot of them in our color scheme. Anyway, I agree with your assessment of the looks of it. IMO it definitely fits the Heritage better than the other style. Probably the easiest thing I'll install on the bike too!

I put in a CycleRama 512 cam and then listened to a nice lumpy idle. I can't go anywhere because it's -30 degrees here :-(

Ill probably do something about it later when I can. But I have no idea what color that makes up the base coat, so Ill have a dealership figure out or something like that.
Because it's hidden by a sissybar right now I'm just concerned about having the damage repaired up in a relatively hard to notice way.
I'll give it a look later.

Ill give my local dealer a visit.
I have to pick up a chrome ignition switch cap anyways, since the one I tried installing today broke while installing.

When I saw the online dealer ad for it, I wasn't sure about the color. However when I went to look at it and saw it in the sunshine I was amazed how good it looked. After taking it for a ride, I came back with my wallet out.
I get allot of good comments on it while roaming around on it too.

Bike runs nice, but I think it could run a little better on upper end. Not sure if a cam is going to make that much difference or maybe just get it retuned by shop that I know will get it dialed in right. I get some occasional popping when really getting on throttle, but cannot get any charts or Dyno information from previous owner who did the big bore kit. When big bore kit was originally done, the 475 cam, 64mm TB and manifold, and big injectors were installed. It Dyno’d at 138hp/142tq. Bike was sold and 2nd owner put on ventilator extreme air filter and SE CNC (not Extreme)heads. I don’t even know if it was dyno’d again after the heads and bigger air filter. The low end torque and power around town is instant and really strong. Power at higher speeds on highway is strong, but throttle response is not as instant as I would like. This could just be the tune, but seeing other 128/131 builds and Dyno’s make me wonder what a little bigger cam would do.
I know first hand from my old TC what difference a good tune can make. Overall, the current tune is pretty good, but think it could run crisper at certain throttle positions. As strong as these m8 big bores run, if I could just get a little quicker throttle response at higher speeds, I don’t think I would change cam. I was thinking about Ward’s ported manifold and retuning. If I could just get the rest of you all to stop the performance upgrades, I could stop thinking about all this!
