Changed up some suspension today.

 

Which length did you go with And how difficult was it to swap shocks? I am thinking of replacing the shock in my Sport Glide with the RSD version of the fox shock for the additional ground clearance.

Took the cover off it, sat on it, looked outside and saw the snow + 35 mph winds + 4* temp, wept silently like a real man, covered the bike again, and went back inside to crush 4 16oz Miller Lites while staring at the TV.

 

And where did you get those?

 

I know that pain.
Today I walked out to my bike at its parking spot, pulled the cover off, checked up on the bike and just looked sadly because he's about to be picked up and taken to the dealership to figure out why he's popping fuses. :<

 

Removed the RWD RS-1 and replacing it with custom Race Tech suspension.

 

Would you be willing to clue us in as to why the swap? Whats bad about the RWD that you wanted to get a new rear shock?

 

Since I already have the front suspension dialed, also a custom cartridge.

I am trying to do the same for the rear.

The RWD RS-1 is probably over sprung for lighter riders since there is no option for different springs.

The Race Tech was built for my weight and type of riding (most of the time) that I want to do. Furthermore, the Race Tech is longer by an inch compared to RWD RS-1. So, more ground clearance.

 

They are for a Dyna and I made my own brackets for it, you can find them on Ebay, Amazon, ....
