I went ahead and did the home made transmission cover vent. Other than getting access to bolts, job was very easy and parts are cheap. Even bolts were not a big deal, just takes a mini ratchet and some time. I did install a check valve from NAPA on the vent line. It’s gonna be 80 F here today, so about to go out and take it out for a ride.

Rear tire #3 @ 32K miles - Metzeler ME888
I installed rear tire number 3 on my '19 Slim at +32K miles.
The oem Dunlop lasted about 10K miles. I had a set of ME888's on my last bike that I loved. Metzeler had introduced the Cruisetec so I gave it a try. I did like it but it only lasted about 10K miles as well.
Next I tried the Michelin Commander 3 Cruiser. I got just over 12K miles out of it. I was not a fan of it's wet weather performance.
This time, I went back to the Metzeler ME888. I did like the Cruisetec but no better than the ME888s. I'm hoping to get a few more miles out of the ME888.
