Can you post a video?

My microphone is in the helmet, so want be a true measure of external sound. Still not exactly what I want for sound, but they seem to perform well. I did another take-off video if any one wants to hear it. Hopefully I will pull the baffles this weekend and make a couple of runs. I'll probably need Short Shots and/or a Cam to get it sounding like I want.

I barely hear any pipes with my ear plugs and full face on. Even without at speed the wind drowns them out.

Hey... Ft Myers area represent! I will have to watch your bike while I'm rolling along Tamiami Trail (or crawling depending on whether it is in season or not).

I will get one recorded this afternoon if I can. It will be recorded with a iPhone X so not really sure on the quality but I will do my best.

I tried to get one while riding but it didn’t do it justice. I recorded a short clip in parking lot yesterday and will have to humbly admit you are right. They are not as loud as others but damn they are still loud when you get on it. We are going for a ride today and I will get a recording of me getting on it to compare. For me these are perfect and I love the sound and they really woke the bike up.

My old 08 Ultra with longshots still sounds so much better but after I reworked baffles 2x they now are bearable!
My wife even laughed at my new neighbor haters😡
Anyway 1st time I slipped baffles out I pulled off the probably 5/8" thick insulation and you could definitely tell a difference but still not too loud by any me but definitely a MUST DO. Still wasn't pleased so pulled them back out and removed a fine screen barely tacked to baffle and that is somewhat better.
Anyone who says neighbor haters are too loud has not been around or rode enough Harleys and should just stick to stock. 90% of big baggers with slip ons are louder than my 2018 Softail Deluxe 107 Stage 1 with modified much louder than "original neighbor haters". And she will fly like the wind! Power to weight ratio on these Softails is very nice ESPECIALLY if ya not running the big sail (windshield) on front. 114 stage 1 streets can't keep up with it for sure and many have tried.
will have the Woods 22x VERY soon with PowerVision tune!
Powervision tune stage 1 alone is a boost compared to the screaming eagle stage 1 (never waste money there unless staying in warranty but be ready to run very hot)

Installed Avon grips.

Needed some flames to remember my beloved wide glide I sacrificed to buy this great machine!

Yes, that's the sound I have when sitting in the drive way, everyone comments how quite it sounds after hearing the Sportster with the Short Shots.

I'll try to record some driveway sounds on both of them. I would like the FXLR to sound more like the Sportster at idle at least. That may require a cam, though.

Installed mustache bar and Kurakyn Hex floorboards on my 18 Breakout. Ordered Vance & Hines slash cut slip ons, Custom Dynamics rear LED (replaces reflector), Viking saddle bag, long stem mirrors, and ISO grips.

Hello all, I am new to the forum, been lurking since I bought my new softail. About a week after the Harley launch I went down to the dealership and put down a deposit on a 21 Street bob FXBBS 114. They ordered me one and it arrived in early March. Since then I’ve added some small cosmetic changes with more on the way. Trying to play nice with my warrantee so I’m saving major performance upgrades for later.

current mods:
Vance & Hines slash cut slip ons
Arlen ness grips and shift peg
HD Sundowner two up seat
radiator cage mod

In postage:
LSS shorty levers
HD Tall rigid sissy bar

sitting in the queue:
LED lights with relocation to the forks
MX style Foot pegs
Arlen ness passenger pegs
Swing arm bag (I’ve got a sissy bar bag already)

rolling around in the head
New Bars- something thicker then stock to match forks, maybe 2” taller apes
Tuner- whichever proves reliable for the 21 models. Need to get rid of that speed limiter
Cam- stage 2 prefer torque over HP. Lots of research still to do here.

Cheers
