Got the bike back today, and went and put some miles on it. Was down for 80 days after the accident.

New bars are Dominator MX Tbars, 14 inch. Everything else pretty much the same. SE air cleaner instead of K&N. Lower profile.

I traded my 2020 FXLRS for a mint, bone-stock ‘09 FXD with 10k miles on (and some cash…).

The Softail was the ‘perfect’ bike- smooth, powerful, comfortable. But despite my best efforts it just didn’t feel like the Harleys I enjoy. Granted I’d come from an Evo before, but I took one ride on the Dyna and it was like coming home.

It was a fun year or so on the 114 though!

 

It’s a Drag Specialties Predator seat. I had it recovered with a design I came up with. Local upholstery shop made the cover.

 

Super Glide is a cool bike.

I’ve just swapped the seat so far and got some parts on the way, Sundowner that came with it is in the garage for longer rides. This one is like sitting on a rock by comparison but hey, looks over comfort right!

Nice to actually be able to work on the bike myself now I haven’t got a warranty to stress about.

 

I just put on a set of Rinehart mufflers, sounds like a Harley now.
