Painted exposed bolts black, added Big Shots, spoke covers...
In addition to my DNA Ape hangers, a Kodlin rear lowering kit, forward controls, S&S air filter that I modified with gutter guard plastic and screen from Ace Hardware, an FP3 tuner, and a Ends Cuoio swingarm bag, I modified my axle covers by sanding off the black finish down to billet aluminum, painted the majority of exposed bolts black with high temp black paint and an artists paint brush - (headbolts, transmission, primary, frame bolts, everything under the bike, even the bolts on the rear drive sprocket and that annoying bright shiny Vance and Hines logo), added a gloss black derby cover and shifter lever, used black electrical tape to cover the bright shifter linkage bar, added black spoke covers, BikeMaster flipped mirrors, a louder Denali horn, changed the grips and pegs to Avon, and removed reflectors and replaced with 3M black reflector tape. Now I just need the weather to turn to spring...

Oh so that was the crashbar you were installing?
Thats the one Im looking at getting, and adding the rear sliders from bunkking as well.
It does look nice, and less noticeable than the big ole tradtional and mustache ones.
How do you like the highway peg positioning?
Do think the sliders are far enough out that if the bike tips over it'll keep most of the bike contacting the ground?

It does seem that if it tips it will keep most everything from more damage than if it wasn't on.

Added highway pegs today. I was on the fence about adding them because I wasn’t that crazy about the current offering of foot pegs. But I did a little digging and found a set of ‘crested bar&shield’ foot pegs that really matches my stock floorboards. It seems this particular foot rest was discontinued not too long ago and I found them on sale at an out-of-state dealer.
