What did you do to your 18+ softail today?

Well, gotter on the floor and fired up. MUCH to my surprise, contrary to my research......well...... THEY ARE QUIETER THAN BEFORE!!!??? For sure at idle, maybe also conservatively blipping the throttle. Maybe quiet baffles AND TTIs at a full 90° is stiffled too much? Mainly, the reason I ask, could it cause to run too rich? Also, for any first timers, initial start up will freak ya out. The anti-sieze on the sensor threads and the wd40 I had on the gaskets make it smoke like f*"#!

I haven’t had a problem. I just hold onto the handlebars. As far as comfort, I find it considerably more comfortable than the stock seat but that’s not saying much. I’ve only been able to take one long ride so far (100 miles) but it was pretty comfortable (I expect it will be better once I’m used to riding again).

I thought the same thing, but the narrow nose of that seat means I have no more trouble touching ground than I had with the stock seat. I have a 30” inseam and can flat foot the bike in my stocking feet.
