What did you do to your 18+ softail today?
#1622
I'd be careful here. I went through this with Ness before they finally releases the 18+ softail version I installed on my '19 Low Rider. The adapter my not align the pad contact area correctly. In fact to me, looking at the photo, it looks like the caliper is too far outboard.
Did 'Ness stop selling the official '18+ softail kit?
Edit: Actually looking at the photo closer, from what I can see, it looks ok.

FYI, Ness' US site still has nothing on the 18+, however I saw this: https://rolliesspeedshop.com/product...bob-low-rider/ which shows a part number: AN-02-996
If you want to take a gamble, Amazon has it: https://www.amazon.com/Arlen-Ness-02.../dp/B00T6JA1NM

For the record, the kit for the 18+ Softails is 02-983 (bikes with cast wheels). Pics below from Dennis Kirk, priced at $297 shipped.

Bolted on some bars/risers to see where I want to be for a good riding position.
The stock set-up is just weird. If it had mids I could live with leaning forward.
Forward controls don't mix well with these stock bars, (for me).
Deuce risers, Carlini 8" Fat T-bars and I even found a stock Buell bar that felt pretty good with the Deuce risers.
Forgot to shoot the Buell bars but they FELT right so I settled on 6.5" rise and 2.75" pull back. (making risers) Fatbob bars.
Can still see the gauge and this will give me more room for a proper front fairing!
Should try to sell the Carlini bars with a Ness Bullet gauge (mech tach installed)?

??? The stock FXDR, or the one I am going to make?
The stock one just "pops" off like the passenger seat cover.
Haven't had it off to have a look yet.
Have tooling foam coming next week. Will extend the fender first. Then work on med. size quarter fairing, a belly-pan/chin-spoiler.
and lastly, some saddlebags.
FXDR ST for sport-touring. Yeah yeah, as sporty as a Harley is gonna get!
REALLY reminds me of my 99 X1 Buell!
