SnS 475C cam.
I wasn't sure about getting the S&S cuffs or not.
Are they a must have?
Which bolts are you referring to in this case? The one in the center that holds the cuffs themselves, or the 4 around the tappet covers?

The cuffs are not a must have; but, they sure are nice. The lifters don't really rotate, as the are in a journal and spinning on the cam kind of keeps them in line. The bolts I am reffering to are the ones that hold down the cuffs. The MOCO had used the wrong thread lock on a number of builds and I ended up with one. The bolts broke off and I had to drill and tap new holes. There where not many the were built with this thread lock and I'm sure your 2020 Fat Boy should be fine, but just be careful anyway if you go with the cuffs.

I actually saw a comment about that on the S&S install video that they posted.
Pulling the bolts, how should I go about that then?
S&S said to apply some heat to the center of the bolts. Not sure how I'd go about doing that, though.

Will have to check out that video. Is it on there website?
You would not need much heat. They are small bolts. You could pinpoint the flame tip of a torch to the boy center. Like I said, easy does it here. You are just trying to loosen the thread lock. 5-10 seconds of heat should do it. The stock cuffs (Moco calls them anti-rotaion devices) are plastic. But, I guess if you melted them no big deal.

I haven't ridden my bike yet but it was delivered with a quite full oil tank, I drained 12oz, will see where it checks at after a break-in ride to seat the rings.
I thought I saw an "S" in an earlier post of yours. Congratulations!!!

DO NOT REUSE THE STOCK BOLTS !! The S&S cuffs come with grade 8 bolts,(at least mine did) which is what should have been in there in the first place.

I have a cam bearing instal tool with puller that I might be willing to part with if you are interested

I think I read in another thread to empty the cam chest and lifters and apply heat with a heat gun from underneath to soften the thread lock. Turn the bolts slowly, working back and forth. Use a penetrating oil like Blaster to help.
DO NOT BREAK THOSE BOLTS DAMMIT!

Mike, That makes good sense. Heat with a heat gun from inside the cam chest ! The bolts twisted off like paper clips!! I was using a 1/4 ratchet that I can only get my thumb and 2 fingers on. Could not believe to see the head of the bolt sitting in the socket!
