I wouldnt do a front tire that's more than 10mm difference in the front. a 150/70 is going to have a very similar profile to a 160/60 when its put on the fat boy rim.
Plus a 180 tire's aspect ratio is going to be smaller than a 160 or 150s which means the pinch that would make a more aggressive shape is going to be negated.

The reason why the 260 works is because its also a 40 aspect ratio, and there for will get more round as it's pinched in. It's also safer to run 260 on the 240 rear rim because its so much wider so there's less likelyhood of any slip or leak.

 

Hello All, need your inputs. A question from a pillion point of view. My pillion is uncomfortable with the current position of the rear footpegs. They are a bit too far out and low for her. Is there anything i can use to increase their(talking about footpegs) height a couple of inches? This is with the stock seat so with any kind of aftermarket one it will be a bigger issue.

 

If your bike is 2019 or later, you can get the Bungking passenger peg sliders and they raise up the pegs above the exhaust.

These do not fit a 2018 fat boy however.

 

If they dont fit 2018 fatboy, then it wont a 2020 fatboy either. anyways I can take the design of these and ask the local custom shop to fabricate them

 

The reason they dont fit the 2018 fat boy is because the 2018 widetire frame doesnt have the upper peg bolt hole.
2019 and later do have that bolt hole.

 

Well this sucks.
Today I tried to install the thundertorque inserts 158s into my vance and hines Eliminator 300s and... They dont fit.

So good note to everyone who has Eliminator 300 exhaust on their bike, the 158s are too large. The inner diameter of the baffle is just under 2inches once pulled out.
So I'll have to get the 118s. That being said, the bafflecores are pretty easy to slip in and out.

 

That is good to know, I was considering those for mine. Are you going to bolt them through the outside of the muffler body or just to the baffle? I’m also curious to know what they do to the sound when you get them installed. I just put an RS468 cam in mine and the mufflers are way louder than they were with the stock cam. I kinda of like for now, but I’m thinking it might grow old after a while.

 

For the 158Ws trying to install them into the Vance and Hines Eliminator 300 slip-ons, They're too big to bolt in the baffle and slip them back in due to the bolt in hardware, but also they are too big because they dont actually give enough space for exhaust gases to pass through. The diameter of the baffle itself is simply too small for the 158W. So it'd choke the bike. And the optimal designed angle for those inserts is to be at 90degrees perpendicular to the flow of the exhaust.
So the 158W are just too big all around.
Mounting the 118W's I fully intend on them being mounted without drilling into the side of the outter pipe. With the reduced size it should be able to be installed into the baffle and slipped right back in no problem. If not, I'll take a grinder to the end and cut it down a bit so it can positioned in the center and not obstruct putting the baffle back in.

According to DKCustoms they make the sound tone deeper, and quieter. By 6dB as per their charts

I am running a single 158 torque insert( if I remember correctly) in my Bassani 2 into 1 pipe. I took it out after cam install and reinstalled again as I definitely felt a drop in low end torque. I am running it with the baffle and it sounds great.

 

Has anyone attached a twitter or a buzzer to the indicators for a 2020+ Fatboy, so that it can act as both anti theft alarm and a buzzer for the indicators. Looking in the console for the indicators become dangeraous during lane changes.
