Everything 2018 FatBoy thread
#791
Good Morning everyone, this is my first post.
I bought 2018 Fatboy anniversary after totaling my 2014 Ultra. Last week I rode a couple of hours with my buddies and a week later my **** is still in pain. Now I am not a spring chicken anymore but damn, have I just been spoiled with touring bikes. Please tell me there is a seat out there that is comfortable on this bike because I truly love everything else about it. Thanks ahead of time for any replies.

Finally took the delivery
16th October 2021, Pune
Took the delivery on 16th October 2021, which is also my irthday so it was a really good day.
My iding group had all come in for the delivery and with them they brought 2 cakes, the showroom people also had a birthday cake prepared for the same. We first cut the 3 cakes, then proceeded to do the ribbon cuttin which in case of our delaership is a chain which you cut with a proper chain cutter.
Chain cutting is followed by a loud music and song from AC/DC "Highway to Hell", which pumps up the environment for the first official show of the bike hidden under the covers, I dont believe I have been this excited for any of my other birthdays, maybe my 30th one when we booked my first Harley which is a Street 750.
Post the motorcyle was a photo session which went on for almost half an hour, with grou pics, individual pics etc.
Took a small ride the same night just around the mall, and parked the motorcycle back in the dealership as we dont bring a new thing at home on a saturday. Dont really believe in superstitions but when your parents believe in some things you dont really want to rub them the wrong way on such ocassion.
Anyways first ride of my very own HD Fatboy is nothing to write about, the small route was packed with gravel, traffic, slippery slopes etc. slow speed turns on this bike is a challenge in itself. but once you get aboe 10kmph all is pretty smooth. Will write more about the ride experience after the first coupl eof hundre kilometers.

Got rid of that ridiculous horn this weekend. I've been seeing this one as a popular choice and found it on Amazon. Fit's real well on my Fatboy114. I painted the back black and only had to extend one wire (no cutting of the wires). This one is so much louder and sounds like a car rather than the road runner.

Nice to see horn upgrades.
I'm looking to rig up a Denali Soundbomb, full sized since that train horn sound scares the bajesus out of people.
There's a few versions of it, WOLO BadBoy is probably the one I'll be going with.
BTW if you guys havent seen it, Horn Trigger makes your horn button easier to press. I grabbed the chrome one for 21$.

Interesting. I added another one, below the factory horn and the two of them are a respectably loud hi/low tone (much louder than stock). But there's usually room for improvement in such things. I didn't buy a Stebel because of a lack of place to mount it. I sure wish I could hear yours in person.
