I've been running a reverse mounted 157/70 ADV tire in the front for 2 years, it's excellent. But I do tear them up fast.
I'm definitely liking these tires but I have no idea how long the front will last.

Good info fran.
I put an 888 on the back of my FB, it wore faster than the OEM Scorcher. When I pulled it and cut it up for the garbage, I should have pulled it much sooner, it was very thin, I miked it and wrote it somewhere, but cant find it. I have a Dunlop AE on it now, and it seems to be wearing better than both, but too soon to be sure.
After two Scorchers on the front, I went with a CruiseTec, and got 10,000 miles on it, could have gone more, very impressed, the Scorchers were really shot at 8,000, very bald on the right side. The Cruisetec wore much more even, but still more on the right. I put another Cruisetec on it last week, I have 26,880 miles on the bike now. It only gets rode in the winter,
These are stock sizes, so this is probably apples and oranges. But might help some that are thinking of trying different brands,

Ok cool. i'm not too far behind you agewise. And since my collision with a deer 6 weeks ago, I think I'll be riding like an elderly gentleman for a while.

I'm Running a 157/70ZR18 front in reverse mounted direction. It's a Metzeler Tourance NEXT2. This is a tire rated for 168mph, and it's a taller diameter increasing ride height by a small bit.
