I'm Running a 157/70ZR18 front in reverse mounted direction. It's a Metzeler Tourance NEXT2. This is a tire rated for 168mph, and it's a taller diameter increasing ride height by a small bit.
I've been running a reverse mounted 157/70 ADV tire in the front for 2 years, it's excellent. But I do tear them up fast.
I'm definitely liking these tires but I have no idea how long the front will last.

Got my S&S mufflers, license plate bracket, seat & handlebars on.

Still looking for a full rear fender before I decide on what wheels & what size.

I have a Dunlop AE on it now, and it seems to be wearing better than both, but too soon to be sure.

After two Scorchers on the front, I went with a CruiseTec, and got 10,000 miles on it, could have gone more, very impressed, the Scorchers were really shot at 8,000, very bald on the right side. The Cruisetec wore much more even, but still more on the right. I put another Cruisetec on it last week, I have 26,880 miles on the bike now. It only gets rode in the winter,

These are stock sizes, so this is probably apples and oranges. But might help some that are thinking of trying different brands,
Hey Ken, it sounds like you're getting decent lifespan from the front tire now, even though it's still not wearing completely even. What tire pressures have you been using?

I run the pressure suggested in the owners manual. I did experiment some with a couple pounds higher, I didn't see any difference. But, I ride like an old man that I am.

Ok cool. i'm not too far behind you agewise. And since my collision with a deer 6 weeks ago, I think I'll be riding like an elderly gentleman for a while.

well I finally did it, went with the Cruisetec’s. Stayed with the 160 up front and did the 260 rear and WOW. I’ll never go back to a 240 rear again she handles way better now.
