Want to move my floorboards forward or add forward foot controls. It doesn’t appear that hd offers any for the fat boy. Some say the control for the breakout will fit. What are my options if any for foot controls. Thoughts
I replaced the Scorcher front tire with a Metzeler Cruisetec.
I got 7,000 miles out of this one. The wear was like the last one, plenty of tread in the center and left, even shiny bottom of the groove, but right side completly bald. I thought maybe the first tire was defect, but aparently not. I took the bike back to the dealer to check the suspension when I saw the wear on the first tire. but they said all was well. '
So, we will see how this third tire pans out.
I changed it out myself with hand tools, I did a write up in the "Tires and Wheels" section of this forum.
I've been through 4 sets of pipes now. V&H Eliminator 300->V&H Short Shots->Rinehart Racing 2 into 1->TBR.
I think I've finally arrived :-)

Been testing a new tune on my bike, and I'm getting significantly better gas mileage now.
Was also using the Hammock seat today to see if it's easier on me for riding distance at speed, compared to the knuckle seat.
5100 miles on these tires now, and they're wearing evenly. No strange cupping or issues with one side getting more wear than the other in the front.
But I am clearly eating up the sides of the tires faster than the middle because I ride twisty roads so much.

Keep in mind that I'm only 131lbs so it may be different for others, but it is a fairly nice seat for comfort. It has some fairly good shock absorption for me compared to the Knuckle Profiler Seat.
It's a bit taller and it's wide with a seat bucket.
It doesn't give that much more support than the Knuckle Profiler seat in terms of helping against wind resistance.
all in all for me its a pretty nice seat comfort wise. It's biggest downside is that it keeps your butt centered on the bike because of that "bucket" so any motoGP body position stuff that makes this bike easier to ride is a fair bit harder to do. Not a good seat choice if you like ripping through the twisties.
It's also not that great for the passenger. My boyfriend said he had to brace himself a lot more and had to hang onto the sissy bar during hard braking because the passenger seat slopes down a bit.
He liked the Saddlemen Explorer RS seat much better as a passenger.(My bf is not a motorcycle rider himself).
Looks wise, if you're going for a Touring setup, it's a pretty good looking seat. It's got a nice profile so long as you have a sissy bar that matches up with it.
It's not gonna win any beauty contests for bike night though.
I think it's nice as a solo touring seat where you expect to put a bag or luggage on the backseat of the bike.
If you're looking for a seat that's good for you and your passenger, and still looks ok, the Saddlemen Explorer RS is a better choice.
