I'd try a 260 if bridgestone made an H50 18inch in 260.
The H50 Battlecruise tires are the best nonslick tires for Harleys for acceleration and grip.
Moonshine HD runs them on their bikes they take to the drag strip because they're the best gripping tire most of us can get that's not a drag/track slick.
I like these Brigestone Tires a lot, but It'd be interesting to try a Metzler 150/70 R18 Tourance NEXT front with a Metzler 260/40 R18 Cruisetec Rear.

I'm seriously considering a Metzler Set for my next set of tires(the set from up above), and I'm interested in a few things.
1. What pressure are you running it at?
2. How is it wearing?
3. How grippy is it in Wet, and hard acceleration?
4. Do you ride a lot of switchbacks and roads with chicanes and frequent alternating turns?
5. How does it hold and handle in a Sweeper?
The wet and dry performance of the Bridgestone Set is excellent, and the handling is superb. But if I could get an even better ride height, and handling increase with a 260 rear, I might consider swapping over to the Metzler Set when new tire day comes around.
The Tourance Next is a 90/10 ADV tire just like the Bridgestone A41, and has water tread overlapping the center line, which means excellent water evacuation and wet grip. Allowing for nearly the same advantages of the A41 front tire. The only issue being the Tourance dodesnt have water ejection at the edges of the tire like the A41. But there's enough tread block and spaces to evacuate substantial amounts of water.
The Cruisetec Rear has some substantial water evacuation evactuation as well.
So it looks like a potentially very good tire setup for all Dry, Wet, and Poor roadly maintained road conditions.
It looks like Metzler has a 150/70 R18 Tourance Next 2 tire as well.
I was looking at the ME 888 260/40 R18, but I have heard that the ME 888s do not handle wet conditions or poor conditions well. So I don't think I'd even consider that tire.

1. What pressure are you running it at? 2,9 bar or 42 psi , that is my personal preference
2. How is it wearing? only got 3K miles on it now , but honestly I don't care about the life of a tire, the main thing is that I like it. I own a tire machine myself and change them almost for fun
3. How grippy is it in Wet, and hard acceleration? way better then the ME888
4. Do you ride a lot of switchbacks and roads with chicanes and frequent alternating turns? not so much, if we have roads with chcanes here in my area, it is all with strict speed limits of an average of 30 mls/h or max 40 mls/h, so not much to do here
5. How does it hold and handle in a Sweeper? I actually haven't had it with the Fat Boy yet so I can't answer that, I just drive a bit quieter with the Fat Boy, actually with all Harley's, that's also the reason I usually ride this because I'm actually speed addicted .
I have always ridden with racers, but the state of my body does not allow this anymore., but I do have an Energica Ribelle and a 1290R Superduke to give me a kick once and while.
I had the ME888 on my Breakout, the Cruistec is way better in the wet.

Bought a couple of things for my 18 Fatboy. Unfortunately, I go in this Friday for arthritis surgery on my left thumb. It's been hurting for over 2 years, X-Rays show that the joint is bone on bone. So, theoretically, I won't be able to work on my bike for 3-4 moths, but I know that I'm going to get bored. 😁
1) Klodin lowering kit
2) V&H Pro Pipe 17589 2 into 1 (Out of production but found a sealed box for $800) Picture isn't my bike.

I can't imagine Lowering this bike.
The lean angle is limited enough and I'm going the opposite direction. I have a FOX Factory IFP-R QS3 13inch, which is half an inch longer than stock.
And a 150/70 front which gives +.33lnch Radius raising the front of the bike up just a little.
I'm increasing the ride height, so I can ride the bike even faster through twisty roads.
