Oops. One final question. Did you have to relocate the preload adjuster?

No, the preload adjuster doesn't need to be moved. You will need to "notch" the frame cover supplied with the kit to clear the wire coming through the rear fender. the kit was designed for the Slim, which doesn't have that tail lamp wiring.

I haven't installed the frame cover on mine yet, and I might not. I sort of like being able to see the shock under the seat.

I installed the base on a 2018 Deluxe and simply moved the wiring to the side by removing a clip and therefore didnt have to notch the base at all.

I was looking at that. I could also de-pin tiger forward end of that harness and route it through of offtve lower holes in the fender.

did you have to file, bend or grind the base plate like the other guys did?

There are 2 angled pieces - 1 each side of the base plate. I actually slightly bent them with my hands to make it fit. Took 5 mins. No cutting or filing needed.
