What did you do about the shifter shaft coming out of the primary cover? What seals the hole for the shifter shaft?

P51Driver - you don’t need to do anything with the hole from the shifter shaft although HD sells a chrome hole plug for a few bucks that fills it in.

Does anyone have the service manual and know what the torque figures are for the front and rear axle? I plan on ordering the service manual when the budget allows but these are not in the owners manual, and I need them for the break in service. The dealer has quoted me $500 for this maintenance and that is not in the budget either. Thanks.

Gotcha covered.
Front: 55-79 ft lbs. Bottom mount pinch bolt 11-15 ft lbs. Side mount pinch bolt 21-25 ft lbs.
Rear: 95-105 ft lbs.

It is an HD lay back plate holder. They have been around for years.
