You get used to the noise as your hearing goes away.
My opinion is I'm not a big fan of those curved pipes, I like the looks of the V&H Short Shots better, think they look great on some of the new Softail models.
If it was just for looks I would own the Short Shots.
Hey OldMike, what is your take on the Mustang Wide Tripper Solo in Tuck & Roll? Comfortable? Did it move you forward/back or up/down?
Two thumbs up!
It lowers you just a bit but doesn't move you to front or rear. Quality, fit on the bike and looks are great. I put the backrest on for longer rides cause I don't use a wind shield on this bike (yet).
Yeah I was wondering about that. I got to say when riding any kind of distance I really like my windshield, around town and I take it off.
I have a lot of experience with trying wind shields. The sport type on an older Softail, the larger one, like you have on a 2004 Low Rider, and of course about 6 different wind shields on a Street Glide.
I wear a FF helmet to travel and every wind shield I've owned has caused wind buffeting which resulted in blurred vision and headaches. I'd much rather clean steady air and a removable back rest for longer rides.
I'm on a Low Rider, I chose this bike for around town and short trips. I decided when I traded my 2014 Street Glide that I am not a long distance touring guy, never was. I have just as much fun working on the bike as I do riding so usually I end up with a lot of gear and low miles.
