Fitted Forward Controls to my Bike Today, went for a 3hr Ride around the hills today they work fine but now my lower back is a little sore, I will play around with the Air-Hawk and rear shock preload spring , Hope this helps a little.
I always thought mid controls on FXLR and FXLRS work well for comfort and handling on these bikes.
Why did you change to forwards.

I have the El Diablo bike. Turns out I was a little to tall and had to have Harley forward controls put on. The problem with the forward controls is the brake pedal; it has no tines and cannot be adjusted. It is too low and needs to be raised up about 1/2 inch or so. My Harley dealer in Scottsdale has tried to find a solution - an after market adjustable brake pedal - but to no avail. If any of you have a solution to this, please let me know. Thanks.
I'm trying to put on a Memphis Shades Gauntlet fairing but it looks like the headlight brow thing has to be removed. What is the best way to remove it?
Herrick, if you look underneath the brow you'll see there are two hex head (allen) screws that hold it on. Note, however, that if you remove the brow you'll also have to remove the clutch cable guide that attaches to the bottom of the brow.

My allen key really felt like it was going to bend and snap when I tried it yesterday. I gotta find stronger ones or something.
What's a good replacement battery for a Low Rider? I think the battery in my bike is the one that came with it 5 years ago. I made a thread a few years ago about battery problems and I was recommended a Yuasa GYZ20HL but Amazon claims it won't fit.
