Yes the Heritage has tubes. Ride on works better on tubeless but will work on tubes as long as straight through puncture. Doesnt hurt to use it and wont gunk up the wheel when it comes time to change. Plus you can get rid of the weights.

Just got my new Mustang Vintage seat with backrest. I will report on it after I ride for a bit.
Trying to figure if it moved my position aft or fore yet.
If I have to I can always move the bars a little to compensate, I suppose.
Yes, the Mustang is being made for the 2018 Heritage now.

Ultimate Seats are saying August, I got a Saddlemen but I'm not loving it though it's better than stock.

I have not had a problem with the USB port. I'm wrapping a charger wire around my handlebars and the phone goes in my windshield bag. If it's too tight it will come away from the port, check it's in all the way.

Welp. Just took the Heritage with new Mustang seat and backrest out for about two hours. It is night and day from stock seat sans backrest.
Backrest is mandatory now. It is about as comfy as driving my Ford F 150, which is to say, pretty plush. Not sure why I did not use a backrest a long time ago. Amazing. I think I can ride all day now.

I also tried the Saddlemen touring seat. I spent 1800 miles trying to break the damn thing in. Living in hot Sacramento, the gel insert would retain heat and burn your *** for the first 20 minutes. I'm happy to say Saddlemen's customer service was great. They gave me a full refund. I went to a Mustang tour seat and out of the box it delivered a significant comfort improvement. I just got back from a 1900 mile tour up and down the coast of California to Washington state and back with my son (who has an 18 114 Fatbob). The Mustang seat definitely enhanced the comfort of this trip for those long days in the saddle.

Glad you like your new Mustang seat & backrest. Looks good on the Heritage, I like the solo look. Does it lower or raise you up any? Does it move you forward or back any? Can you take a picture from the side? How does it look from behind the seat where it bolts to the fender? Thank you my friend.
Cheers

Seems to match stock seat for position.

Outstanding and excellent pictures and thank you army eod. It sure looks good on the Heritage. I think I'll have to save up and get one. How long did you have to wait to receive it once you placed the order?
Cheers
