I accidently ordered 2 black fender racks and it's not cost effective to mail the second one back with the credit that they will give me. The motherwell rack was one inch too short so I ordered this and it fit perfect. If anyone would like the second one, it is free. Just PM me your address and I will mail it to you.

Well my AliExpress luggage rack arrived. It is a nice piece for sure. Excellent quality. Unfortunately i does not fit with the Corbin Solo seat. The Corbin seat extends back beyond the two mounting bolts. Consequently, the seat will not properly mount if the luggage rack is installed.

Did you have to change any cables or wiring to mount the bars?

I have not noticed any other posts. I assume you got rid of the rivets on the tank bib as well? One of the few things my previous owner did right was to replace it with one from a Slim

Cool! The only thing left now with the black rivets are my bags. Not sure I want to go through the whole hard-bag dilemma. I've seen very cool results, but there is this and that and you have to account for the pipes in the way blah blah. My stock ones don't leak and have enough space for my daily needs. I saw this a few years ago on a bike for sale on Cycle Trader so I save the pics and did some research. Some guy near Baltimore did this. He said the bags would cost about $900. I am thinking just a cool lid might be enough.

So you can easily slice off the 'flap' with the rivets attached, apparently. I might do it myself one day.

Then either live with the 'stitch marks' or have an upholster add on a new piece... or just get some glue and glue over a strip of black piping or similar.

Not a big job - certainly not worth the cost of new bags!

Yeah the $900 "bag wrap" is a hard pill to swallow. If I could get lids done professionally for around $500, I'd be ok with that I think. Just have to decide what would look right since there is no other special leather on the bike.

Personally I would be cautious of cutting off the flap. 1) Once you start, you are committed and must be extremely careful. 2) If the bags are too old, you would surely see fading or some sort of line
