Yep, each to their own.

personally, apart from black I didn’t like any of the available colours, so I went my own way

if we were all the same it’s be a dull old world

it looks like the new "billiard grey" of this year, I like it...
match very well with the black trim and you were right to leave the side covers black

Yeah it looks different in different lights/photos.

I was after as close a colour as I could get to the old US Navy WLA models.

This is actually Land Rover Arroios Grey - Billard Grey is close to Nardo Grey that you see on loads of Porsches, Audis etc... this has a touch of blue in it, so it's not as 'dead' looking as Nardo

That photo as just after I'd had it painted. I've since added the fender trim back on, along with finned timing and derby covers.

Next is to find a more retro looking air cleaner cover and I'll be blacking out the windscreen brackets too... and getting rid of those bag reflectors!

I really like the tank graphics on that. Maybe because they are old school.

Hey, can you provide the source for those 3 eyebrows on your headlight and passing lamp on that gorgeous billiard grey bike? I'd like to get them for mine, it's a nice touch. Thanks for your time!

sure - here you go…Passing lamp trim rings (the visors won’t fit the stock rings) - Harley official part No. 68775-93TA

4.5” Passing lamp visors - Harley official part No. 67783-78T

7” headlamp visor - any aftermarket ones will fit, but I got this one from eBay (I’m in the UK): https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251723629344

(Colour is Land Rover Arroios Grey… notably lighter than Billiard and a very slight hint of blue in comparison)

Thanks

I’m a designer by trade… I mocked-up a load of options, this one inspired by a logo from a vintage Harley shirt

Very nice. I did the blacked-out hardware on my shield, makes a difference. I also wrapped the spokes with black leather, makes a big difference.
