Just went for a ride again with my FXLRS...back is killing me. Someone. here went from one of the other +18 softails to the Heritage who can compare both suspension wise? I know the Heritage has about 1" more travel but will that make a good enough difference?

If the extra suspension travel isn’t enough, I recommend the sprung solo seat like I used. It’s really made an already good ride even better.

i have not ridden a LRS, but I just picked up a 2019 Heritage. The suspension soaks up bumps really well. Just about every ride on my old softail, I would hit a couple hard bumps that would crunch my neck and back, and have me cussing. I have hit a few bumps that I expected a painful impact and, literally, no harsh impact at all. I have not even set the preload for my weight yet - have not felt the need. Been on three rides, about 200+ miles each, and have not hit one bump or crack in road that that was even felt in my back or neck. If you really want to know before trading for a new bike, go test ride the Heritage.

Ha! I did the same. Mine is a salvage project and I could not afford paint like yours. Post a pic if you ever remove those bags. Hiding that beautiful bike behind bags is a misdemeanor if not a felony.

I know you posted you did a test ride on the Heritage but did you happen to adjust the preload for your weight before the ride? If not, it might be worth another test ride but have the salesman set the preload first so you have a proper experience. Just a thought…

My last softail before my Heritage was a Rocker so I can't compare it. But I did go from a 2018 Streetglide to a 2019 Heritage and the first time I rode it on the one-lane country road where I live I noticed a obvious improvement in the ride quality and it's a bumpy roads. Test ride one if you can. It's a personal choice.

Hey, wondering if any of you might have a Sport Luggage Rack you might want to sell? Prefer a Gloss Black one, but would also take a Chrome one. Got a road trip planned and would like to have one for the trip.
I have ordered 2 from E-Bay sellers, neither one fits, when both sellers stated their rack would fit the FLHC/S models. Both were too narrow at the mount points. Both were knockoffs, which I knew going in, but I had ordered one of them several months ago for another Heritage and it fit perfectly.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the 2 front mounting arms need to be 9" apart at the outside measurement in order to bolt to the Sissy Bar tabs with the pre-drilled holes. and both of those I bought were about 8.375"; really wondering what SBar they are meant to fit?
Thanks.

Nice indeed and in same boat. 5' 5", 142 pounds, the Heritage is a perfect match for me. Have a 2019, my second Heritage, and when I replace it - another Heritage!
Twisted Cherry is a very nice color combo!

Default Who makes this flush license plate?

Anyone know who makes this lay down license plate? This is off Jamie’s Heritage video from Laidlaw. I have a laydown plate now, but it does not sit flush like this - the top of the license plate is raised off the fender. I really prefer this flush design. Thanks for any info.
