Whoa. Thanks for the heads up. I'll be checking them regularly for signs of rust now.

Default Aftermarket seat install

I know I need to get a manual, but just picked up bike and no chance to buy one. Looking I install a Predator 3 seat and was curious if any of you with 2 up aftermarket seats know if you have to remove the stock driver’s seat mounting studs to install new seat? Just wondering if this is going to be a quick 3 minute install?

I suspect it depends on the seat you choose. If need be, removing the studs is a snap. Unscrew the nuts, remove the plastic washers and the stud plate will drop out, leaving two slots in the fender. Reinstalling the stud plate is easy, too. Run a piece of string through each slot. Place the stud plate on the floor under the bike, ahead of the rear wheel. Tie or tape the string to the studs and pull the plate back into place then attach the plastic washers to hold it in place.

Nope. I’ve never removed the rear wheel but I did remove the studs.

Did some more searching - think this might be a C&C Fastback.

Truth is most of the HD stuff is often better quality than that of the after market...
