Hello y’all.
Has anyone installed a Reckless Batwing Faring on their 2018 + Heritage?
If so, how do you like it’s performance and would you recommend it?
Thanks
S

There are a few you tube videos on the reckless fairing that are pretty good. Can’t remember who posted them but weren’t hard to find. I was seriously considering one before I sold my Heritage.
Good luck

Hey Folks. I am selling some parts that came off my 2020 FLHCS. These parts have less than 250 miles on them.

Original windshield (screen only) $140.00 plus shipping.
Original Exhaust, includes the gaskets. $100.00 plus shipping.
JES Wind Deflectors. $120.00. These are still in the original shipping box. I put them on and could not stand the look of them.

Small scratch on right side that would buff out with some elbow grease.

Small dent on upper heat shield.

These wind deflectors are brand new.

LOL, I had the same feelings re JES but they are awesome in performance. I personally wouldn’t ride without them after having them on.

This is kind of weird. My last three Fatboys I've had the fangs on and loved them. I had planned on putting them on my 2020 Heritage, but found I don't really need them.

IMO, the 2018+ Heritage definitely needs some wind deflection. Anything over 55 mph and the buffeting would cause my vision to blur so bad that I didn’t feel safe. Even with my full face helmet. My first attempt at a fix was a taller windshield (hence the one for sale) but that didn’t make much difference. I had ordered the JES deflectors and while waiting to receive them I saw a used Road King at my local HD dealership and it had these beautiful fangs on it. On a whim I checked and they had a pair in stock for $100.00. With a very easy mod (I drilled another hole) I had both function and form.

Lately I installed LRS and it helped (as it always did in the past) but nothing like crazy improvement. I keep thinking about instillation of fangs but cant get over the look of it. I have to say one you have from RK look a bit better than JAS. Any chance you can throw some more pix maybe a bit closer and from different angles? Just curious and any chance you have PN?

Congrats n the bike swap & agree w/ Heritage buffeting issue, but (IMO) those wings are uglier than JES (don't kill the messenger). You know JES has two mounting options, right. I put mine on the "inner" point and they flow w/ the forks. Between taller LRS shield, JES wings * FF lid - buffeting's pretty much gone. Just waiting for @DK Custom to make tank lift f/ 2020 Softail/Heritage & I bet that solves the issue(s).

Anyway, nice scoot - ride safe!

i didnt know JES have two mounting options can you elaborate on this a bit more. Is one of these options align it closer to fork tubes? This space bothers me the most as far a look. Maybe some pictures?

what is FF lid?
