The spacers extend your boards an inch if that helps at all. I chose not to get the shifter spacer. Be safe!
Some of your comments about not being an "aggressive leaner" remind me of me of myself. However, many people think the Heritage floorboards were too low. I stopped into the Fort Wayne dealership last week and gave the new Heritage models a peek. It looked like they raised the floorboard height a bit. A sales guy agreed, stating that there were many complaints about the low lean angle on the 2018s.

I love my 2018, but your floorboard extensions have me thinking a bit. Moving my footing out a bit may have advantages in keeping my feet away from the hot pipes, engine and the wide primary. I may even think about a lower seat too. Thanks for the input.

Maybe I'll see you around the Fort sometime and we can compare bikes.

The M8 touring frame engine has one balancer shaft. The M8 Softail frame engine has two balancer shafts.

Thanks for that info...I had not read that. I need to read up on the M8. At some point, I will buy one.

If anyone is interested.....just listed a like-new Hammock seat with backrest in the Softail Classifieds.

Never noticed it on 2 M8 softails I've owned. Not a problem IMO.

I don't have a problem with the vibration. I did replace the stock grips with Harley Defiance hand grips. I read on the forum some were that others have used Kuryakyn grip end weights to help with vibration. https://www.kuryakyn.com/products/2777/grip-end-weights
I went from a 2011 Limited to a 2018 Heritage. The more I ride it the more I like it. My biggest adjustment is going to a lighter bike. I'm just used to a heavier bike. But like I said, I really like this bike.

Returned to riding after 22 yrs. Bought a Heritage and after 5k in five months never experienced any hand issues. Some times the more you read on the internet the more you worry. Just get the Heritage. You definitely will not be disappointed.
