Did it help quiet down the ride?

Apparently they were stock on touring bikes for awhile. Stops the wind from coming up between the forks and over the gas tank, providing a more serene riding experience. Less buffeting and whatnot. I may buy one and see if I can make it fit, but thought I'd see if anyone beat me to it. Thanks!
I've wondered the same thing. I'll wait for you to try it!

Since you did not quote who you are asking this question, I assume it was directed for me.

I did not install it to control noise, I installed it to reduce wind buffeting.
It does help with the buffeting, no idea about wind noise...

Did you get it to work on the Heritage? I had tried but there are too many cables and such for an easy way for me to mount. If someone manages and could give a step by step, I would be interested.

I swapped out my back shock. I thought about going lower with an aftermarket shock, but I ride two up a lot.

Before.

After.

I have to ask is the wind buffeting that big of a deal. I’m a little concerned since I have one waiting for me to pickup as soon as the weather breaks
Thanks

I wonder about this too. I’m 5’8 have a Rifle windshield that is about 13-14” and buffeting has not been an issue at all. I’ve owned pre-2018 Heritages, a 2018 Heritage and now a 2019 Heritage and just don’t get what folks are talking about. Not saying it’s not real....I just don’t see it....or feel it.

That’s encouraging to me. I did have a 2009 Heritage and the wind was pretty annoying around my head and helmet. I sold that and bought a 2015 Road Glide Special and loved it. Sold it only because I was using it for what it is made for. Decided to get a 2020 Heritage and just don’t want to have the wind beat my head up inside or out of my helmet. I’m about 5’9” and a friend of mine who is about the same has no problem, I’m hoping I won’t either.

If you ride a lot of high speed interstate, then buffeting can be an issue. Its difficult to know unless you can rent the bike for the day and go the speeds you would normally ride. All kinds of shields and wind deflectors to help.

And riders on touring bikes also have buffeting issues, so its not just the Heritage. Every ride is different.
