Thanks
Bracket for backrest is integrated in seat. Here is few pix

Man, I really feel for you guys up north, buying a new bike and can't ride it. I don't mean to rub it in, but I got my 2020 Heritage Oct. 31 and I've put 2,000 miles on it, riding the pure hell out of it (after break-in).

Last couple weeks, it's been over 80 degrees here in Florida almost every day. Here's before and after shots of the bike.

I really dig your intake mate and jealous of your weather 🌞 mate. Yes it is painful to wait but it is time to spend with your hog, upgrade few things, get arm surgery done (me this year) but I will still give it all up for some sun

Does anybody actually carry tools anymore? There's hardly a thing on these new bikes that I could fix on the side of the road. I just stick my tool roll in the left saddlebag. I really need to go through it and get rid of all the stuff I carried for the Evo that is useless on this bike.

Why not inspire everyone and take this opportunity to be the pioneer and fabricate a bracket to add a 'generic'
old-school type tool box to the M8 softail platform.

Here's a toolbox pretty cheap to start with.....

That’s a really good question. I just got back into riding and put together a tool kit for the bike, but thinking what would I really fix?

It would be interesting to hear what other people are doing.

I feel carrying some basic tools is good thing. Thinking back I fixed loose bolts on license plate before, tighten shifter linkage, full blown clutch adjustment, tighten turn signal (multiple times), got access to valve steam to replace it once, tighten footpegs, get access to battery, tighten ignition switch bolt - **** it was mostly tightening loose things looks like but hey this can make or break nice ride dealing with this crap. I think I might stick with few wrenches now after reading my own post. Yes it was for previous models but I feel most of it might apply to new ride as well.

Thinking of bag on engine guard or lower side of frame as possible options as I dont want to take space from my bags if possible as space is really precious to me on this bike.

waiting for comments from others
