I dont blame you one bit man. I got late 2018 and still thinking upgrading pump is something to consider.

 

I can understand your concern. Here's how I see it:
As long as the bike is under warranty the MoCo will take care of the issue should it arise. Many move to a stage 2+ at he end of the warranty period and that would be the time to change to the latest pump for very little extra $$$. The dealer I purchased my '19 Heritage from includes a life time drive train warranty with every new bike they sell.

I know there were posts about this before, but my searches aren’t finding them. After a little over two years I’m finding that my saddle bags now leak.

Was thinking that maybe a bead of silicone might do the trick. Has anyone else tried that or have another solution?

Do you know where they're leaking?

 

It’s got to be from that recessed area where the lock is located. It was parked in some pretty mild rain.

 

I just got my Heritage in October and I haven't been in any rain so far, but this is something I am not surprised to learn. When I saw the recessed push button lock, I asked the sales dude if leaks were a problem and he assured me he had never heard of any, which didn't surprise me because, even if he had, he probably wasn't going to tell me anyway. Hopefully, someone out there has a solution.

 

check the plastic lock nut that holds the lock in place just remember it is plastic don't go to crazy tightening it.

 

Can someone confirm if tightening this nut is really something that can fix this leaking issue?

 

After just now looking at my bags, I find myself wondering if these bags are really waterproof or not. If you look in the bottom of the bags, there are factory holes in them. Are these holes for water drainage?
