I have done 2 different years. Day to Yellowstone, and then out one day on each.

I wasn't on a Rushmore.

My brother-in-law and I, are planning to go to Yellowstone. We’ve already been to Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse and Devils Tower, and one day at the event, is more than enough. How long did it take you to get to Yellowstone, from Sturgis? It’s about 400 miles, one way.

It's a fairly easy day ride to either tetons or YS . I was thinking less than 400, but planner will tell you that.

One year I did tetons other YS.

If I remember correctly. Sturgis to Cody is about 6 hours. It depending on which way you go. Which route are you taking?

No clue? The quickest, most likely. Any recommendations?

I've looked on trusty Google Maps. To me, it's an easy direct highway route, but about 5-6 hrs, meaning even leaving from Sturgis pre-dawn, it'd require an overnight stay, plus traffic...etc...so for me, I'll make it a separate trip next year... It looks to be too much in the time we have for this year.

See you there bro! I'll be easy to spot, I'll be on the Harley Street Glide. I'll let you buy me a beer so you won't feel guilty.
