Does anyone have any experience with these bars? https://fatbaggers.com/motorcycle-pa...t-glide-models

Another question, when it come to dimensions to the bars feel the same? These bars, factory 47 and yaffe have the same measurements, 36” wide with a 9” pull back. So would they feel the same sitting on a bike?

I hate the idea of a bolt in the middle of the bars. Bars have a lot of pressure put on them. I’m sure there fine and engineered but not gonna get my money ever

I sat on a bike with factory 47 bars last weekend that felt pretty good. That’s what made me ask about the measurements, width and pull back are the same, not sure on wrist angle

The FBI bars are excellent quality and the bolt connection is solid as a rock. I have the 12 inch pointed 1 1/4 chrome bars in the classifieds for sale. I replaced them with the exact same bar in their new reduced reach version.

Item#: 905012
Pictured are the standard 12" pointed in the classys

Why did you change to the reach bars? I’m more interested in a set of 10’s, but you do have me thinking now.

I personally think 10 inch is a little low and 12 is perfect. The new reduced reach are listed as 11 inch but I spoke with Gary at FBI and it depends on where you position them. If they are a little more forward they are 12s. Pulled back the are closer to 10.5s. I compared them to the standard model and they really are exactly the same as far as height when against each other. I don't have long arms so I can control the bike especially through the corners and slow-speed maneuvering with them being closer to me... I have 12 inch mini apes on my Softail and always felt more control as they are a lot closer so that's why I switched...

New reduced reach FBI's... you could tell the difference where the vertical bend starts as it is much higher than the standard bars bringing them a lot closer to the rider.

Standard 12" to compare bend points

General rule of thumb...whatever you think you should get, go one size bigger. If you think 10's, then get 12's. If 12's go 14's. Just what I was told years ago and it's always held true.

I sat on a sg with factory 47 12” bars on it and I turned the bars from lock to lock I had to stretch to reach the grip. I know that that won’t happen in normal riding but it has me a little concerned. Not sure if they could be rolled back a little more or not, would 10” be any better with the reach aspect.

I think the 10-inch bars will make you lean forward and reach more..a little higher 12" bar can be pulled back more shortening the reach. At least IMO.
