I had a set of EZ Bars installed last August. Quality/value for the price was one of the major factors in purchasing them. Love them.

I don't think it would be much of an issue. As long as the bolt is tight, the clamp on the bars will span the center and give it extra rigidity. That being said I have the KST Spearhead bars on my RGS and like the modular design that lets me set the pull back and wrist angle to my preferred settings.

Im a machinist by trade, I have zero concern about a bolt that will be captivated and can not back out due to the clamp, and I ordered the Hill Country Gorilla clamp with the set screws in it as well

Quoting one of your older posts. But did you have do cable and wire extension with these bars? And i think the OP asked already, but is the width way wider than stock?

thanks

Width is 36" iirc. I think it is wider then stock but these went on before I took the bike home. Wires were extended with the FBI kit....used stock cables.

Edit.. I still have the stock bars and just measured them at 32". The reduced reach fbi's are 34

2" don't seem that bad. Do they feel nice? Much like the OP, I'm worried about reaching for the bars. I've sat on the KST mayhems and they definitely make me sit up straight. The way the stock are now, i like them, i can scoot forward in the seat and lean back against my backrest and ride down the road, but the feeling of leaning/bending "down" makes me want the taller bars. My arms definitely point downward vise straight across when i grab the bars.

thanks for the information. I hope the OP updates when the ones ordered come in.

are you looking at the standard or the reduced reach bars?

Standard are 4" wider then stock..for me the reduced reach are much better. I'm 5'9"...

I have the bars, bought them from golfblues. I haven’t installed them yet cause weather here in Wisconsin is starting to warm up, no heated garage is a bummer. Plus I haven’t ordered my wire extensions yet either.
