SGS rear shocks - Hydraulic adjustable suspension
Just got back from my first multi day, 2,000 mile, multi state, ride with 2 up and luggage on my 2014 SGS.
I had a 2009 SG with the air shocks and was never happy with them especially loaded up. They were very harsh and they would continually slowly lose air.
I have to say these adjustable shocks on the SGS are a great improvement over the air shocks. I didn't even have them maxxed out and there was no bottoming out issue. I am sure there are upgrades out there that would do an even better job but for stock these shocks aint bad.
For those with a street glide - if you see a pair of these as take offs for sale give them a try. They would be a cheap alternative to a better ride.
PS - the ride was great - 9 bikes, 14 people, 4 states, 3 national parks!

I put the low profile version on my Limited. Lowered me about an inch and really improved the ride and handling. Of course I prefer a bit firmer ride, but I don't find it at all harsh or too stiff.
I'm considering shocks also for a limited. What was the part number, did you find them on eBay?

Yes you are correct about the pipies dragging, and it is concerning me. I don't think it could hang me up to the point of no return but I'm not sure.

At least if you're trying to make time - if not, I guess that would be OK.
A well seasoned, cross country type rider once told me a single bike or 2 bikes can do a gas stop in just under 10 minutes, maybe 15 with passengers - & then add 5 minutes for each additional bike. I've found that to be close to the truth.
