Default Electra Glide Ultra Classic Low

Hello everyone I am very curious i am looking to purchase a touring bike and there has been many mentions of the Ultra Classic is it really that comfortable for 2 up riding? Would the Ultra Classic be a better choice than say a Street or Road Glide? The Ultra Classic looks super comfy. I would consider the new 2015 Low.

Yes they are very comfortable. What kind of riding do you plan on doing?

For distance without a passenger, the SG and RG are fine. But passengers prefer the Ultras.

All three models are very capable of commuting/ touring/ and two-up riding. I chose the Limited because I wanted a bike already equipped with a tour pac, fairing lowers, heated grips, and linked/ ABS that I could do more serious long distance touring with than anything else. The clincher for me though was what it was like to ride them. Test ride or even rent them if you can to see which you really like riding the best.

I would imagine the Fairing lowers help out in colder weather. Also this might be a better choice for year round riding until it snows.

The more I researched, the more I realized that the new Limited was a real bargain because of its many standard features. With the Limited trim level, you also get chrome laced wheels which means less cleaning time.

This is also a great time to buy a new 2014 because the 15's have just recently been released. I've been looking and have not found any year over year changes except color options. Do your own research on this point.

My advice is to shop multiple dealers locally and on-line to get your best price. Look on this forum to see what others paid. This should be < $25,000 OTD for a 2014 model. I got my 2014 Vivid Black Limited for $24,900 OTD in May. Im thinking you could do better now.

Finally, before leaving the dealership, have them reflash your passing lamps to stay on when the high beams are on. If you don't, you will notice a large dark spot between the front of your motorcycle and the limits of your lights.

Good Luck!!
