To Ride or Not To Ride

And honestly, I don't trust their service department to actually fix anything. Wish I could just take it to an independent for recall work.
But to answer the original question, I just found out about it today. Did 250 miles yesterday not knowing about it. It's not going to stop me. I'll get it in when I can.

The brake recall came out in June but didn't get the recall letter till late July. The recall want on the news till August. Had the clutch recall done Saturday. My dealer said Harley isn't officially announcing the recall till today. They wanted to get parts to the dealers first. It's the MoCo that is required to notify owners. It will take awhile to print and mail around 100,000 letters. If you have a good dealer they may call you to let you know about it

The dealer isn't responsible to call for this type recall.
The DO NOT RIDE issued last fall, everyone contacted me.
MOCO will send a letter. Those that are computer savvy, and think to do so will find it on the HD website before the letter, and can get in ahead of the crowds.
If you're waiting for a special personal phone call, you could have already had it done, like most of us here have, and be riding without thinking twice about it.
