It just pisses me off that the dealer is aware of the recall problem and has still not notified me, but they have no problem sending me an email of an event at there dealership.

Yes I've not heard anything from my dealer either?

I tested the clutch with a few hundred miles this weekend and made an appointment to drop off the bike next week for the recall and a couple warranty things to check out while on a hunting trip---but still no updates for the infotainment system according to dealer

Agreed. Still haven't heard a word from my dealer. Except that they are having a big blowout next weekend.

And honestly, I don't trust their service department to actually fix anything. Wish I could just take it to an independent for recall work.

But to answer the original question, I just found out about it today. Did 250 miles yesterday not knowing about it. It's not going to stop me. I'll get it in when I can.

I'm due for my 5000 mile service but given that it's been a cold year and not getting any warmer here in MA I'm probably going to ride a few more weeks and then put the bike away. The service and recall can be done in the spring.

I rode mine all weekend - as I would have had there been no internet & I would have had to wait for the notice to come through the US Postal Service.

And, assuming it runs as well as it did over the weekend, I'll continue to ride it - including riding it into the dealership for the fix.

Had mine done this weekend while it was in for 1K service. Doesn't feel any different then before.

Unless you have removed your entire brake system and disabled the kill switch, ride on!

The brake recall came out in June but didn't get the recall letter till late July. The recall want on the news till August. Had the clutch recall done Saturday. My dealer said Harley isn't officially announcing the recall till today. They wanted to get parts to the dealers first. It's the MoCo that is required to notify owners. It will take awhile to print and mail around 100,000 letters. If you have a good dealer they may call you to let you know about it

The dealer isn't responsible to call for this type recall.

The DO NOT RIDE issued last fall, everyone contacted me.

MOCO will send a letter. Those that are computer savvy, and think to do so will find it on the HD website before the letter, and can get in ahead of the crowds.

If you're waiting for a special personal phone call, you could have already had it done, like most of us here have, and be riding without thinking twice about it.
