Default another windshield ?

I posted this in the touring section also but figured I mite as well post it here also
I have read a bunch of threads about aftermarket windshields and am leaning towards a Freedom shield. Everyone states how nice the recurved works for the rider but I haven't seen anything on how they effect the passenger and I want a shield that works well for both.
So what has been your findings?
Thanks

Don't know if you're aware, but Harley makes a re-curve shield. It's available in three sizes and best of all, you can test ride them at any dealership. Just go in to the parts counter and ask to test ride all three of them and see what you think. Good place to start.

My wife said she noticed a calmer ride with my 9" Freedom, but I've heard others with different experiences.

My wife is happy with my 10" LRS, she said it is better than my 8" LRS, but she doesn't hate the 8".

I've never been happy with a HD windshield, but the fact that you can try it before you buy it is awesome.
Some vendors do that at big rallys too, but not nearly as accessible.

I have the Klockworks Flare 8.5". I love it and the wife loves it. Smooth clean quiet air. I can hear her talking at 65 mph......on second thought maybe I'll go back to the stock Harley. At least that one was noisy and I couldn't hear a thing.

I bought an HD recurve (my dealer didn't offer demo at the time). I took it back for a refund immediately. There was a very bad distortion when looking through the shield. I highly suggest testing one before buying. Your experience may vary but I hated it, as I do look through my shield at times to see the road.

Actually, Freedom offers a try it program also. Just don't remove the plastic and you can send it back if you want.

You can see through the Freedom Shields fine, no distortion on mine. But you're not supposed to be looking through it if sized properly. I love the Recurve. Works better than any of the HD shields, and HD just copied other makers' design recently.

Only real way to find out is to have her test shields with you, they are as subjective as seats.

Had a Freedom Shields 10" recurve on my 2013 Limited and loved it. When I purchased my 2014 Limited CVO I immediately purchased the 11" Freedom Shield. I tried it on my bike before I removed the plastic coating. It was a little to tall so I returned for the 10" recurve. PERFECT and the people at Freedom Shield are GREAT to work with. Just my thoughts.

I went with the Freedom Shield after reading all the favorable comments. Now I make the favorable comments myself. It is not just another recurve. It is a wide top recurve of exceptional clarity. It is not the most expensive out there, it does work exceptionally well.
