CANBUS / Accessory Issue -- Help Needed
Had my seated modded by Mean City Cycles and loving the great fit. Also had them install heated seat option which installed pretty easily.
However, when plugging into the accessory outlet that goes to the switch (so it wouldn't stay hot all the time) I got about 5 codes, so evidently, the Canbus does not like it.
Is there another place I ought to plug it in so I don't get codes and engine light or do I need to get some sort of load equalizer? Anyone else been through this or have pics?

I used Harley's accessory switch. Comes with one switch, have to order 2 more. I use one for extra fog lights, one for the heated seat, one led accents

Need more details to assist with this. I did the same mod to my seat but, I used a relay and added my heater switches to the front cluster vs it mounted in the seat, using the AUX connector which I modified. No Codes!
On my seat heater I used a relay and switch and hooked it to the battery. If you are using canbus it will cause the voltage to go out of ballance therfore throwing codes.

You can pick up a relay at any Auto Zone or such. Switch the relay on and off using the switch and run the power from battery through relay to seat heater. Use the Normally Open contacts on the relay which will close when powered up via AUX harness/switch.
