Seems all dealers should have the recall parts as they were overnighted on Wednesday. My dealer north of nyc told me on Friday that they didn't have them yet, I checked with a dealer in danbury,ct and they received them on Thursday. Then an hr later my dealer calls to say that they had them after all. Either the service depts aren't checking with the parts guys or the parts guys aren't letting service know that they're in. Either way someone is not doing their job. I had both recalls done at 9 am today & I was on my way at 1010am. I knew the brake lines were ok as I had checked them back in June, but the recall stays open until an authorized dealer signs off on it.
Anyone know if parts can be obtained and be self installed? I just really prefer doing my own wrenching whenever possible. Avoid the down time and hassle of visiting the dealer, and I'll be sure the job was done right and with the highest level of care to the bike.

Now that's not going to happen; Feds got their grubby paws involved....
Glad to read of so many successful repair postings and the diligence that is being demonstrated by dealers throughout the USA. You'll notice one thing that is clearly evident - not many CDN owners coming on with happy repair stories!!!! Thanks Deeley Canada for looking after your CDN ownership properly........NOT!

The last recall, my bike sat for over a week while I was told, "the parts will be in tomorrow"..........
