Default Parts in, Awaiting Instructions

I visited my dealership today and learned that they just received a shipment of parts for the recall.

They were told to expect specific instructions beginning on 15th.

I made an appointment to take mine in next Friday and they said that if they have all the instructions and they can fit the repair in before Friday they will call me.

Sadly, we have one of our H.O.G. monthly rides tomorrow, and I just can't bring myself to test the theory that my ride is OK. The weather in Central Indiana for the next week is going to be in mid 60's with Sunshine....never fails...best weather when a safety recall drives me not to ride

Arrgggghhh!

This was not a "do not ride" recall...

Be aware that there may be an issue.

Dropped mine off (without an appointment scheduled) after work yesterday and they called at 9am this morning to tell me the work was done. I have power duals. They did not need to remove pipes, just the clutch master cylinder and the derby cover to test and adjust the clutch. Went for a ride after picking it up. Don't really notice any difference in how the clutch operates.

Remove derby cover. WHY? There is no way to make any adjustment in there because of the hydraulic clutch.

This is the same thing they done to mine today, they had the derby cover off and looked as if he was checking adjustment. I should have ask him at the time....

Was at my dealer today was advised that they had not recieved parts yet for recall, however as I was on showroom floor they were taking a 14 limited off the floor to have the recall done so they could sell it that day...lol if that is what the dealer wants to do..their inventory first fine I can grasp that...but no need to lie about it....just look me in face and tell the truth...

That sounds like the clutch recall (recall 153) from October 2013. They had to rebuild the master cylinder and remove the cover to verify the clutch had the correct release plate. I watched then do mine today. They just removed the master cylinder replace the internal parts and reinstalled it. If you read the recall details in a link someone posted in post 204 above it mentions nothing about inspecting the clutch. The hydraulic clutches aren't adjustable.

Bought mine last week. I noticed one of the Fobs wasn't working so I ran it by to get fixed. When they brought it out they said the fixed the clutch recall. I was like, "Clutch recall, what clutch recall ?"
