I got a call from my dealer. Recall at 1 pm tomorrow. My only complaint is that I learned it here, not from hd. I'm happy with the quick turnaround tho

 

you have nothing to complain about shop calling you and fixing your bike tomorrow. Out here in PNW think how long I am going to end up waiting? business as usual I'm riding tomorrow.

 

Called my dealer and was told recall was actually released on the 8th and they just got parts today. Skeptical about that based on what I am reading here.

 

No longer skeptical...read on another forum it WAS released on the 8th...my bad. Guess it is not a real serious problem or Harley would have issued a do not ride. Ride safe everyone

 

Picked mine up from the dealer yesterday for the first service. Service manager informed me of the recall. Said he had the parts already but hadn't received the notice yet. Went ahead and made the appointment for next Tuesday to get fixed.

 

Bike was in for 1000 mile service today asked service dept about the recall. They had the recall parts got em in today. pick my bike up in the morning....only problem is I had to ask them about the recall they did not bring it up not sure if they were up to speed on the new recall...

 

I just took a '15. No open recalls on the HD VIN check.

 

I haven't heard if my dealer got parts in yet, but I can't pick up my new bike until they get them in. No bike for me until they come in as I traded in my old one.

 

They are going to check your clutch master cylinder, if it all looks good they send you on your way, if they see a potential issue (binding gasket or seal) they rebuild the master cylinder.

The kick in the pants is that it's no different then the brake master cylinder which they have been making for a loooooong time.... How they fubared this I have no idea..... Fu*king HARLEY JOHNSON!

 

Have mine in this morning for the free first service. Mentioned to the writer that since I live over an hour away, I'd like to have it done, while here.

They're doing it now.Asked for the headlight flash too. Should know if all OK in a couple hours.
