****New clutch recall issued 9/8/14****
#151
My bike will be a year old in just a few days. I've had all the recalls done - and will wait to hear next week about when I can get the next done. Hopefully, at the same time, the resolve for the new radio update will be completed.
Bike has a bout 12,000 miles on it now -and, for some odd reason, it is only about 50 degrees here in Michigan this weekend. With that, I really did not plan to ride - and hopefully the recall is done soon and we will get some warmer weather.
All of this said, I really like my bike and come here to get a number of ideas and also learn of issues we and others are having. I am sure this can be frustrating for some - but I have to believe that Harley, or any other manufactures for that part, is trying like heck to put out the best possible product.
I think we can help by letting them know what we think is wrong - and then staying on top of the matter to get it fixed. Just my 2 cents worth.

I have never understood why someone chooses to own a Harley only to bash the motorcycle any chance they can get. ( there is a difference between having occasional complaints and bashing IMO ). I know others that do this and it really makes me wonder. They constantly talk about how much better Indian motorcycles are one day, the next day its how much better BMW is. To me, these are great bikes, I simply enjoy owning my Harley and have no intention of switching.
The big question is: why does someone keep riding Harley's when they do nothing but complain about them and talk about how much better other bikes are? Why don't they sell the Harley and buy the bike they talk up all the time? I don't get it!!!

As Sherriff Roscoe P. Coltrane would say "Good News! Good News!" My FLHTK is ready to pick up.
I reported yesterday that the dealer wanted to keep my bike until the recall parts arrived next week (after my 1000 mile service). He called this morning to say the parts arrived yesterday and are installed!
I'm very pleased with the service. Highland HD of Somerset, PA

I called my dealer here on Long Island...told me he has the parts and since I can't make it tomorrow....the service guy told me to ask for him next week....call the day before and I can bring in the bike the following morning.....wait an hour or so....and they will do the recall while I wait....great customer service!!!
