Just called my dealer. They said they received a batch of parts today also. Taking it in Saturday morning. They said will take less than an hour to do the recall fix. Hope this repair solves the clutch issues for good.

Had the recall done today during my 1k service. Dealer said it included a new piston mechanism and seals and plunger and such. Don't think it took them too long to install.

Is it all the 14 Rushmore's or just certain build dates? Is it just replacing the plunger or are they replacing/inspecting other parts?

My understanding is it's all the 14' and 15' bikes with a hydraulic clutch that were built up to 9/8/2014. It really all depends on when they introduced the new parts to the assembly line. All bikes built prior to that will need the upgraded parts.

I was under the understanding is was the 15's also. But TheHHMF is a service advisor at an HD dealership. He was reading the actual recall builtin the dealers received with the parts today. So when he said it is for 14's only I believe he knows what he is taking about.

If it's only for 14's, why won't they let them deliver any 15's? I know my dealer is at Delmarva bike week and was planning to sell a bunch of bikes but can't right now because of this recall... They were told the same thing back at the dealership. A friend of mine works there and he's frustrated because they can't sell anything right now. At least they can't deliver any that is. Including 15's.

It's politics and marketing/salesmanship.

In the long run the number of 15's affected will be a very small percentage. Leaving the 15's off the bulletin is a way to facilitate this being forgotten as soon as possible.

Clearly the handful of initially delivered 15's are afflicted because of the direction by the moco not to let them leave.
