thanks for all the info guys, I like the mesh but I think ill go to home depot and do it myself, 50 bucks is a lot for that small piece.....

 

I bought the stuff and am making one myself. I'll post pics when I'm done....

 

I wonder if the mesh will just be another place to pick bugs out of?

I was inspired after seeing this thread, Here's my invention.

 

Looks damn good to me. Was it as easy as I envisioned?
Can't tell for sure but did you paint it?

 

Very easy, I used a piece of cardboard to make a template, then cut some wire mesh off the back of a old air filter that came out of a old GMC truck I had laying around. Cleaned the screen with alcohol, spayed a little primer on it, then black paint. Zero invested, I love a free mod, Thanks Guys

 

Great job. I figured it would be an easy mod, no reason to spend $50 on it.
