BigMike is correct. I put on 12.5" LA Chopper bars and all i had to do was wiring. entire process WOULD have only taken me about 2 to 3 hours, but i accidentally pinched the wires on the clutch side and lost all electrical on my dash. scared the crap out of me, but after an hour or so fix...it's perfect again. so, be really careful when you're putting your switch/controls back on the bars as to not pinch them. other than that, extremely easy to do.

You can run 12's but you'll need to reposition your mirrors about 1/2"-1" lower than where the come stock. It's an easy process to drill new holes. I used the smaller pinlock hole as the main mounting hole and drilled a new pinlock hole below that. With the mirrors installed the original mounting hole is covered so you don't need plugs. If you go lower than that you'll most likely need plugs since the original mounting holes will be exposed. I run 13" on my 15 SG and haven't moved the mirrors yet. I can see out of them but I have to dip my head down a little to get a good look behind me.

I took me ALL day to put mine on.. the wiring was a beech. This isn't my first rodeo either, just plan on a weekend, take your time, and anyone can do that has any kinda of common sense .If you get stuck, people on here can help. Your wallet will thank you for it! ANF you can say you did it yourself!

Here's mine with 12" LA Choppers Twin Peaks

Here's mine with Wild Ones 12.5"

These photos were taken about two weeks apart. You may ask why. Well I installed the LA Choppers first and after one ride, they came apart. The left side 1" pipe actually came out of the 1 1/4" pipe. The inside weld never penetrated the second piece of steel. The weld that would be on the outside, well there wasn't one. That weld was visible on the right side as well as the center section but it was completely missing on the left. Now, I purchased them from Amazon and I will get a refund minus my cost to ship them back so that's not an issue. I did contact LA Choppers and told them what happened and provided some photos. I got a nice reply and an apology. They seem like a good company I think this was just missed.

All that aside, turns out I like the Wild Ones better. They just seem to fit me better. Both are nice bars.

Does anyone know off hand the width of the kst mayhem or the yaffe's or prime apes? I want to go with like a 10" height.. Don't want hands outside of fairing.. But looking at pictures it's hard to tell width... And from what I am hearing you can't trust advertised numbers
