So I assume yall are de-pining this plug to get the TBW wires out of the old bars? And just another pic of the fairing removed. by the way... tasking the fairing apart on these bikes is VERY easy. You can do this if you have any mechanical skills, even if you don't, you can almost still do it! Save yourself from being robbed at the stealership!
OHH... one other thing, how in the hell did yall get that left grip off!!?

Nope. You can pull the factory tbw sensor out of the bar while feeding the wiring up through the bottom of the bars and either release the green and black mini plugs through the control wiring hole or all the way outside the bars. Then you can pull the remaining wiring back out through the bottom of the bars and the tbw will already be out. I actually wired my 12" Vindiktas like that in reverse. Fed the wiring up through the bars and when I had the mini plugs in the control wiring slots, I slid the tbw assembly in and plugged in, then just pulled from the bottom while sliding the tbw sensor in at the top until situated. No need to depin anything.

Ok so here they are. I went to my local dealer and got some great advice and suggestions and that's what I did. Went out and bought a solder gun, some 18 gauge wire, and some shrink wrap. The twist grip sensor and the heated hand grips had to be extended, the switch housing units were extended by purchasing the extension kit from harley ($30), the clutch and brake had just enough for the 14" bars but I wouldn't push it any higher. We spliced, soldered, then shrink wrapped the heated grips and TGS by about 6" just to give it some extra room.
The handlebars are Khrome Werks 14" Bagger Apes and they are exactly what I've wanted.

Went a step further and just pulled the 14" KST Mayhems and put on 12's. Before I did that, however, I put the 12's in a tubing roller and bent the base angle a bit more than it was already. That changed the wrist angle to a more favorable position, and took the spread from 41" to about 38", which is perfect, I'm 6'3". I like the 12's much better. Now that those are on I might make the same bending mod with the 14's and try them again later.
OR
Anyone want some 14" KST Mayhem Baggers in Gloss Black? Pre-wired with Heated grips installed. Plug and Play. $600 ;-) still better pricing than getting it done at HD.
